Communication

     Communication is the most important part of teaching.  this is the part of teaching that is essential for any good teacher to have their students learn anything cause of them.  the student and you will always be communicating to eachother in many ways and the fact that our body langauge is such a big part is important to realize thast the student will read into that. our communication skills will be the thing that will set the tone for the class room. so our verbal and nonverbal communication are key to what we do.

the traveling story

   this was probaly one of the most intriquing things that we have done all semester.  in that the way one sentence can change a story is so funny.  the fact that some how one of the stories i got referenced the rocky horror picture show was just funny to me.  it does give you freedom to do what is needed and just have fun.

my project

by now it is done but by that time i had started to think about what i was going to do. At that time i thought that i was going to try just poetry in my subjects but couldn't figure out a fourth subject.  so after a while i decided on life after high school.  which seem to work out well for me.

assesment

What is an assesment? A formal assessment is a test or quiz that will go over a units information that is important to know. an informal assessment is one that is not graded directly and is done by eye tests or informal dicussions to find out knowledge.

Types of writing

What are the definitions of informative and persausive writings. An informative writing is one that gives you information on what ever the topic is and is just factual about the topic. While a persausive paper is one that tries to get you to go for or against the topic at hand.
   For a PE class i would have the students write an informative paper on different sports that the student would research after drawing for a sport were they would have to give rules and history. while they would have a persauive paper that would try to persaude me on a favorite team in any sport.

what is a good writer?

    this is a question that most of the time is truly subjective to what you look at as a good story style is.  to me a good writer is a person that create a subject and hook that i can just dive into. i also think that a good writer has substance to what they write. but for me what i like to write is poetry becuse for me it is a stress release.

What makes a Good Reader?

       The question as a student is that am i a good reader. For me the definition of a good reader is when you can read at a speed in which you comprehend what you are redaing. that means that you may have to check over what you just read. so by that definition i think of myself as a good reader.
     I would tell you that for what i am doing reading will be very important. and i will encourage my students to find something that they like to read and do it.  I think that to learn to read you need to encourage students and show them that there is not a facet of life where reading isn't important.we would go over menus, internet sites and store diagram.

Post 3 games

     I think that games in the classroom are an intracal part of what you do as a teacher.  It is the easiest way to learn for some and the memorable part of the class.  for me being a kines major this is where you teach the life lessons, like losing gracefully and learning form the loss. For me the games and sports i played as a youth i can track my life lessons to the games i played as a kid.

What is Motivation post 2

     I think that motivation is what pushes you to do something, that object or feeling that you strive for.  my personal motivation is intrinsicly is the feeling of accomplishment of my students and of myself for the student grasping the lesson taught. My extrinsic is making enough money to support my family and provide them with what is nessicary for life.

What is the connection between your literacy and culture?  for me it was signifigant in how i veiwed my literacy. I was a poor kid who kind on knew but didn't realize it.  the people i knew where a little quirky and outkast/nerds. i hung around the athletes and country type folk. so none of us really were big into the reading, but because of all the thing that went on in my life i started to write some poetry and became very interested by it. so now cause of the technology at hand it is easier for me toget my stuff out.
